Maps To write directly on the surface of the map use a water-soluble marker. Black ink and a broad point are preferable. For example, a vis-à-vis black broad point water-soluble marker will work well. Use a damp cloth to remove the markings. For best results, remove markings immediately after use.

Globes An envelope containing three globe crayons is included with the globe. The crayons are black soap based. Use a tissue or soft cloth to remove the markings. For best results, remove markings immediately after usage.
