Applying Map and Globe Skills Introduction

A unique set of skills is needed to be able to read and interpret maps and globes. The knowledge needed to develop these skills was presented in Section 1, Developing Globe Skills. But this set of skills should not be learned in isolation.

The purpose of this program is to enable students to use maps and globes as reference tools. For the skills they learned to become meaningful, they must be applied to everyday classroom exercises and lessons.

This section, Applying Globe Skills does just that. The following activities may be used as classroom activities or as individual exercises.
